I'm sorry about your diagnosis Tia. I know there isn't much I can say or do that will make this any better but I hope this information we have about womb cancer will help you on your journey and that some of the members I've found on the forum with the same diagnosis - [@Sundial]‍, [@R11onb]‍ and [@scotkb]‍ - will pop by when they can to offer their support and advice.

Hi Tia,

I know what you are going through, it is a horrible shock. I was diagnosed with Womb Cancer in July. The scan will give your Doctor a clearer picture and hopefully if the cancer is contained in the womb it may mean you will only need a Hysterectomy, I had this operation in August and had keyhole surgery which was very straight forward and recovery was very good, much better than I thought. Try and stay positive I know it is'nt easy but they have come a long way with Cancer now, there is no more to say until you get the scan results as you will not know until then.

Hi ty for your reply I am still numb with the shock.  I’m having my scans done on Monday so treatment plan after I’m having trouble being  positive and ontranquillisers at mo.

Really feel for you, must have been a terrible shock, the C word runs shivers down my spine, currently waiting for biopsy results

I'm awaiting biopsy results, transvaginalscan said thickened area 10mm, probably polyp, consultant said yes likeky to be polyp, booked in for hysteroscopy, where the consultant said, no polyp but needed biopsy

Had that done 5 days ago, I asked him a million questions, my anxiety took over, he just said that results would come to my home address in 2-3 weeks as pathology busy, other that saying that he avoided eye contact and scuttled out of room asap

I'm 46 and originally went to my gp as I had abnormally heavy bleeding, periods a bit erratic, my gp said it was start of menapause, i went back 6 weeks later to gp as i was having a dragging feeling down below and pelvic pain

She sent me for ultrasound, 

But surely if you do have a polyp you must insist they remove it Hun x

The gyny consultant whilst doing hysteroscopy said it wasnt a polyp but needed to take biopsy from that area, that's why I'm so confused?

I see then they must be checking the lining etc better to be safe x
