Being told my partner has stage 4 cancer

After 7 weeks of hell we have been told my partner has stage 4 cancer

they think the primary is in the small bowel and the secondary is in the stomach he's also got acites 

I can't get my head around how fit he was then bang we have been felt this with no warning 

can people really survive for a few years or is it a death sentence

    I can't begin to imagine how you're both feeling at the moment but our forum has quite a few members who have been living with multiple/stage 4 cancers for quite some time. I'm sure some of them will be along soon to offer their support and advice but do give our cancer nurses a call if you want to talk things through with someone.     Evening Steph 

    We went back to hospital today for my partner to have his tummy drained 

    Hopefully starting treatment next week 

    feeling helpless and heartbroken but can't let my partner see I'm crumbling inside as I want to be positive to reassure him 

     

    praying we can get him in a better place
