I might lose my dad before Christmas

On monday 11th November my father was taken to hospital having had a  suspected stroke.  Further tests and scans showed multiple anomalies. We were told it is primary brain tumours.

It has been two weeks since his diagnosis and he is losing more speech. The movement in his right side has begun to slow and become uncoordinated.

His memory is declining, he cant recognise us.

It breaks my heart to know he was up and walking around like everyone else a few week ago and now he is lying in a hospital bed waiting for the end to come.

  • Welcome to Cancer Chat Leah although I'm really sorry to read about your father.

This must be such a difficult time for you all, especially with Christmas just around the corner, but you are not alone Leah as many of our members are also going through similar heartbreaking situations with their loved ones and hopefully some of them will reach out to you soon.

Do keep writing on the forum if you're finding it helpful at this time and remember that we'll always be here when you need us.

    Kind regards,
