Hi I am 43 and have recently been diagnosed with stage 1a melanoma cancer. I've been signed off work for two weeks I'm due back next Monday but I feel my work aren't impressed that I had to have time of due to having an operation on Monday? What rights do I have if any?? I'm stressed enough being diagnosed with cancer I really don't want to have to worry about possibly losing my job or being made to feel awkward for being signed off.
