I am a married 74 fit male in good health...following a chest infection 10 months ago, I was given a X-ray which was queried.....then two months of scans, biopsies etc., I was diagnosed with stage 4 NSCLC......after 4 treatments the small tomour in the right lung had reduced by one third....my treatment every three weeks consisted of carboplatin, pemetrexed and pembrolizumab......I am awaiting a second scan in 10 days time hoping and praying that the reduction is ongoing.... I am at present on 'maintenance' chemo and immunotherapy, my oncologist says that if results are good then I may be just on the immunotherapy treatment for the remainder of my treat which will be approx 18 months...is anyone on the same journey as me?
