First time post!!

Following discovery of lump on my neck had an ultrasound and biopsy which showed “cancerous cells”.

Follow up MRI and PET scans confirmed Metastatic Carcinoma from left tongue base.

In addition showed 2 “hot spots” chest and gastrointestinal both of which require further tests over coming weeks.

I have an endoscopy booked tomorrow.

I am feeling ok health wise but very scared and occasionally losing my self control.

2 years ago my beautiful wife was diagnosed with breast cancer so statistically we have certainly drawn short straw. She is very stable so far thank God.

However just writing this and sharing is helping in s strange way.

The big problem is I don’t know what to expect and fear every little pain or twinge whatever it is.

I am 69 on 4th December and looking forward to my birthday with my wife and our 2 gorgeous daughters!!.

Wanted to add that if my 3 cancers are connected then my consultant has said I will receive palliation rather than cure. Does this mean I won't receive any treatment at all??
