Thyroid cancer diagnoses

Hi,  things are still very new to me but after finding a lump in my throat, needle biopsy and ultrasound and 4 weeks ago a hemithyroidetomy , I was given the news yesterday that I have follicular cancer. The lymph nodes they checked have come back clear. I have to get  a CT scan and after the doctor get  together in November I will find out whether I need more surgery to remove the rest of the thyroid. It wasn't completely a shock as I had an inkling. I've have a very experienced consultant and am trying to be very positive. I'm 53 and am grateful my menopause symptoms have decreased just now, so don't need not flushes too. would be happy to support anyone else going through the same thing. Went to see Cher last night and was the best thing I could do. Even if my singing voice just now would be on a x factor reject show.

Seeing Cher sounds like a great distraction!
