A chest X-ray showed a small splodge so had ct, mri and pet scan, which they think is positive for cancer . It’s small and doesn’t seem to have spread. I can’t have a biopsy due to position of splodge, so without positive confirmation, I can’t apply for sabr treatment and must have surgery to remove it, then if it proves benign, I get stitched up and go home but if nasty, they remove the whole top node. Every time I have had surgery I have awful infection due to having rheumatoid arthritis. My question which no one seems able to answer is that if there’s enough evidence to determine it as cancer, needing surgery, why isn’t there enough for sabr treatment ? I feel as if I have no choices.
