Hiya sorry to butt in. Did you have a lot of underarm swelling with the lymph nodes? I had mine removed a week ago and my arm is swollen (it’s like a golf ball in my armpit) and today has started leaking a small amount of yellow. Went to see the nurse at the go and she changed the dressing said it looked fine and sent me on my way. Fast forward a couple hours and I’ve more yellow on my new dressing. Gonna phone the breast nurse tomorrow but could t help myself in asking here first x

i only had my first lymph node removed and no didn’t have any leakage. Tbf mine healed quickly and really well. I did have some swelling but was more around the back of my arm. Even now I still have a crease in my armpit which makes shaving tricky but apart from that. 

Yes id ring and ask. I left my dressings on for only a couple of days as they said they were waterproof but as I have a shower everyday they started to come off. I rang and by the Friday (operated on Tuesday) and the nurse said it was fine. I found once it aired it dried out abit x

Hi ladies thought I’d update I’ve been diagnosed with grade 2 and stage 3 breast cancer and it’s oresent in one lymph node my treatment is 6 rounds of chemo and then surgery then radiotherapy then drugs I’ve got to have a MRI scan and a clip inserted into the tumoir hoping this all comes quickly Ian very anxious and it’s caused me to become quite constipated sorry tmi I know which convinced me I had bowl cancer the consultant doesn’t seem to think it’s spread but some c pls may have so that’s why hemp is first x

at least they have a plan in place to help you. I know it’s worrying but hopefully this will be quick now and you will feel better knowing it’s shrinking and going to be took out. 

Im still waiting for an oncology appointment so hope they all come quickly. 

Your mind will go into overdrive it’s natural. I went to the doctors yesterday as I kept feeling a lumpnin throat when I swallowed. He said he couldn’t feel anything, since then I’ve not really noticed it. Weird how your brain works and sometimes just that little reassurance helps. Prob won’t stop be worrying a little though. 

Have you got history in your family? Is it hereditary or hormonal, did they say? I have history with my aunt and Nan but the consultant told me mine was hormonal.

I'm sorry to hear your news, sending you a big hug. So being bunged up, happens to me when I am anxious, but if you are worried mention it to your care team. Do you have a breast care nurse? Mine is a god send, any worries or concerns or questions I speak to her, she's also a great ear when I need to download. 
 

You will probably find that things move swiftly but they will always say two weeks for any scan or result of scans. And they may want to discuss scan results in the MDT again. 
 

You are not alone there's loads of us on here going through the same or similar and we will support you every step of the way. It's a bumpy ride but completely doable. You are stronger than you think.

I’m not to worried at the moment and do think it’s down to stress and tension I’m hoping it all moves quick I’m anxious to get a date for chemo thorough or at least the meeting with oncologist x
