Mum Diagnosed with Breast Cancer

Hey!

I just wanted to post here as I need a little bit of support and advice.

My mum just got diagnosed with Stage 3 Triple Negative Breast Cancer. She starts chemo on Friday and they say that she needs to go through chemotherapy for 12 weeks, as well as surgery and radiation. The doctors and nurses have said that they're hopeful and they're looking into cure rather than management.

Has anybody else gone through this and had a good outcome? I'm trying to be positive but currently holding back a breakdown at work.

Thanks!

  • Hi,

My mum has also recently been diagnosed and is about to go through the same treatment plan. We haven't had a date yet but we know it has spread to lymph nodes, possibly further but we are not sure yet. Here to talk, as I also struggle at work!
