Hi. My dads recently been diagnosed with cancer in the spine and pelvis. It was identified when he had problems with his prostate. The cancer is only small and he has to start taking daily pills immediately. He’s now been given a choice between chemo and radiotherapy. More upsetting is that he’s been told life expectancy is around 5 years. I thought it was manageable- but hearing those words are heartbreaking. My dad is young and fit to me. So from researching chemo this will take things out of him - for me radiotherapy is the first option. Just wanted to reach out to this group for feedback on treatment choices - handling this sudden news - and coping mechanisms for me, my family and my dad.
