Triple Negative Breast Cancer

Hi,

I'm sue and I've been diagnosed withTriple Negative Breast Cancer. I'm having my first Chemo session on Friday and am terrified. Has anyone been successfully treated with this condition as the internet is a really scary place.

aww. Thank you so much for your words. Sorry about your dad and your health. How are you feeling now.  How was chemo I’m just dreading everything. A whole dark year ahead. My whole world fell apart with this news on Friday. Sadly took them over a year to diagnose me.  I have to have a pet scan next month. Then they’ll stage and grade me. I’m just thinking of worse as they did nothing for a year. I’m still in denial.  Had my hair cut shorter today Incase it all falls out over chemo xx. Thanks

  • Hey Sangha

I'm feeling ok about it all, i do have my bad days when i tear up but then i try to do something i enjoy or go out for a walk.  Chemo is my first journey and I'll have an opp and radiotherapy so i know a long road ahead.  I haven't researched the opp or radiotherapy yet as i want to focus on one thing at a time, as that helps me cope and not get too over whelmed. I have it in my lymph nodes too so i had a lot of scans, mri, ct, bone scans.  it hasn't spread any where else so thats good.

I was numb and in denial for ages, its normal  to feel like that.  its not until the treatment starts happening that you may feel different.  Like i said with me i had a meltdown after chemo no 4 when i felt yuckie and didnt want to get out of bed.  I say yuckie i mean just tired with a heavy body nothing too serious.  Its just coming to terms what it does to your body and mental state which i know will get better and is a phase we have to go through to come out the other side.

Well done in cutting your hair :)  I did that too before chemo started.  Was quite chuffed with myself i managed to get 7" so could donate to Princess trust.  Do things that make you feel happy, it can be the smallest of things but will help.

    xx
