  • Hi Georgina

How are you? Thank you so much for your message. It's been a tough few weeks or month shall we say. The surgeon that did mums surgery said it had to be removed and he did so three weeks ago. But we are still waiting for the full results. They said last week they still weren't back. Although they originally said precancerous papillary carcinoma they are now Saying they class this as cancer. So it's all been confusing and the fact it's been 3 weeks since surgery we are more worried now. Mum has an appointment on Thursday we hope we will Know more. How have you been? Xxxx

  • Hi laura

im good thank you, oh dear I'm sorry to hear that, my results took about 3/4 weeks to come back, I got my results on my birthday of all days, but it was the best birthday pressie to be told I didn't need chemo. Maybe bloody Covid has made it longer for results although it shouldn't. Please don't worry, I know it's easier said than done but you will both be fine. Please keep me posted after  your appointment on Thursday. I'm ok thank you, hopefully having a hip replacement next week I have been waiting for the last 7 weeks but I got Covid which delayed it then I'm anaemic which delayed it by another 4 weeks

we've got my grandson today so that cheers me up.

  • Hi Georgina

Thank you your such a sweetheart! You waited long too I completely understand how busy they are but was worried that it might be more serious with how long it's taken. When you was diagnosed from your biopsy did the full results change much to what they suspected originally? How are you feeling now? Oh wow a hip operation bless you! You are so strong! I hope it goes well for you. How is your lovely grandson ? My boy is getting big now mum is desperate for cuddles but can't lift him for a little longer but he does cheer her up and certainly keeps her busy xxx

  • Hi laura

im sure it's ok as I said I waited 3/4weeks. They did find 2 masses when they thought there was only 1 so took that out as well,it was only small. I'm good now, have a mammogram every year for the next 5 years, is your mum going on hormone therapy tablets? I'm on them for 5/10 years but have had a few problems getting the right one. My oncologist was going to discharge me but with the medication queries I'm still on the books so to speak. I've already had 1 hip done, this one has been bad since March, we are having to pay for it as the waiting list is 6/8 months. I'm looking after my grandson when my daughter works so need to be well. I'm not strong just have to get on with it. He's absolutely beautiful although he's full of cold bless him, he's just over 6 months now, I love him so much. Sorry your mum can't hold your little one, she'll make up for it I'm sure when she is better. They are both our little angels.

  • Hey

I've just finshed work and heading home to little one. Thanks for your advice when they found the other lump did they tell you straight away after surgery ? Or only when you had the full results ? They just haven't said much at all we just have to wait the consultant didn't even say what's next he just did the surgery and now waiting to see him so hopefully Thursday we will know more. Mum will also be helping me so I can work out life's are so similar ! Your daughter is so lucky to have you like I am with my mum. I can't say how much I appreciate you contacting me your a real treasure so thank you xxxxx

  • Hi

they didn't tell me after surgery in fact I didn't see anybody afterwards, I was told in the consultation when I got the results., I was told about the radiotherapy and tablets in the consultation. I think they wait till they've got all results then make a plan of treatment. Atm my husband and I only have Theo Tuesday and Friday cos she is working part time till I'm fit, her husband has Theo on a Monday, she's struggling to leave Theo but we try and tell her the money she earns helps Theo have a better life. I'm afraid if I didn't agree to having Theo they probably wouldn't have had a child cos of childcare costs.
