Hi Jenny203, glad to read you got yourself checked out by the docs, very sensible with your history. I had my appendix out a few years back (keyhole), boy, the post op shoulder pains were really something. Extra strong mints and gentle walking helped.

I also had lap assisted hysterectomy Feb 2018, kind of expected more gas related pains, but it wasn't a problem this time. You must still be tired from the surgery, being in A&E must have really worn you out. 

Try to eat some protein with each meal, the ward sister gave me that advice to aid the healing process. Lots of rest, along with gentle walks. 

I was lucky, and didn't need further treatment after surgery. They did find a small adenocarcinoma, which was well contained. Try to take one step at a time.
