worried sick. My mother had stage 1 vulva cancer five years ago. It’s now returned. Awaiting to see consultant. Apparently very early stage. She had a local wide excision five years ago and lymph nodes removed. I’m worried
Welcome to Cancer Chat, although I'm so sorry to read about your mother. I'm sure this was incredibly difficult to hear.
It's of course perfectly natural to feel worried. Hopefully once she has had the appointment with the consultant, you will both know more and will have some clear next steps to take. Hopefully this will remove a little uncertainty and so be helpful in some way.
Until you hear more from the consultant, try not to worry about what may or may not happen at the appointment - though I know this is often easier said than done.
