It seems that bladder removal is going to be consultants approach to stage 2 non invasive bladder cancer. Cancer is within a diverticulum so partial removal may be an option. Has anyone else had a different approach to treatment ?

Hi
My Dad had his bladder, prostate and prostatic urethra removed in Feb 2016 all in the one big operation. He was almost 83 at the time. He was told his bladder was leaking like a sieve due to cancer. They had tried BCG therapy previously but he reacted badly to it and also it was difficult to get hold of it at the time, apparently enough wasn't being manufactured. He has a urostomy and copes well with it and always has. He's not needed any chemo or radiotherapy. He is now 86 and now my Mum has just been diagnosed with secondary liver cancer. She is 84 and I don't think she is going to make it. My Dad's always been very positive about his cancer and so far hasn't had any further reoccurence. Hope all works out for you.
Thank you for replying. Positive thoughts and wishes for you all.
Thanks and for you too.
