Recent unexpected diagnosis

Hi, 

My mum is 58 and broke her back 6 weeks ago. Had various appointments etc. Until it got to the point of her being finally taken seriously and admitted Wednesday last week. Shes had a diagnosis today of oseophogal, lung, kidney and bone cancer. Weve been told it will be management and not cure but they haven't told us anything more yet. Dont know why I'm posting really, just to see if anyone else has had anything similar in their family and could give us time frames that they had with them...

    Welcome to the forum and I'm very sorry to hear about Mum's diagnosis. I don't  doubt that this has come as a real shock to you all. 

    I wanted to connect you with another thread that has started recently where a number of members have loved one who have been diagnosed with oesophageal cancer. If you post on the thread here you'll be able to chat with other who understand some of what you're going through.
