Hello, 

i was grade 2 invasive ductal carcinoma and mucinous, clear margins no lymph node involvement....my onco couldn't rule out rogue cells so wanted me to have a chemotherapy flush.....I just wanted to throw everything at this to help lower the risk of any future reoccurrence.....

Hi, I had 4 cycles of fec chemo...I couldn't have the last 2 because of my neuropathy....how you doing? X

I have just been diagnosed stage 2b ,grade 2 without spreading to lymph nodes,I had my MIR scan yesterday and I am waiting for the results and then seeing my surgeon to decide what to do.I haven't done any surgery yet.my lump is big and is below my breast,I don't know whether they do chemo before surgery or no.how long you chemo did it take to finish??

if the gremlin is classed as big they may want to do chemo first to shrink it....it depends on so much....my very first cycle was feb14th 2019 and my last was in May ( I think)! .....at the time I thought it would drag but in hindsight the time flew! Xx

It is about 3cm.Did you have radiotherapy as well?

Yes I did, I also had herceptin injections as I was hormone positive....rads was a doddle and nothing to worry about....x

Hi all,

I found this thread in the middle of the night as I too am mulling over what comes next. I had a mastectomy last week for Grade 2 invasive cancer. Pretty much told yesterday that surgery is the end of it and I'll just need Tamoxifen. I see the oncologist next Tuesday but basically the surgeon and breast nurse thought I was a bit mad for wanting chemo even if low risk of recurrence. I'm only 45 with 2 kids and feel as if I want to throw the kitchen sink at it now so I can be at peace knowing I couldn't do any more. Does anyone have any advice for me before I see the oncologist next week?
