  • Hello Mossy123 and a warm welcome to our forum,

It is very nice of you to feel concerned about your sister and to want to know whether she is making the right decision in refusing radiotherapy due to the damage it caused to her leg at the time. It might be worth asking her medical team what the effect of her refusal to have radiotherapy might be in her particular circumstances. They will be in the best position to tell you clearly what her options are and what consequences there might be if she decided not to go ahead with the radiotherapy.

It is very difficult even for the medical experts to give you an accurate indication of her prognosis as this will depend on different factors and varies from one person to another.

If you need to talk things through, don't hesitate to give our nurses a call on this free number 0808 800 4040 - their line is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. They might be able to tell you more about what would be involved in the radiotherapy treatment and the effects it might have.

Best wishes to you and your sister,
