I am due to have carboplatin/paclitaxel. Diagnosed with stage 1C ovarian cancer, had total hysterectomy. Just wanted to know what sort of side effects people had. Also did you take any supplements? :)
Hey! My dad had carboplatin chemotherapy for 6 months! We were told it is a ‘light’ drug, for the first three rounds he didn’t have any side effects, he just felt more tired than normal and it made him slightly aneamic but he was prescribed injections to take the day before his chemo to keep his blood count up. I was petrified he would suffer from vomiting and maybe lose his hair but he was only sick twice throughout the whole thing and he just felt weak for a few days after each round. I had my first round yesterday. i had a sleepy day whilst having it as i asked for meds to help sickness, slept well last night. bit tired today and havent done a great deal but have eaten as usual watched television and am on my compter now, not so anxious about the next one. good luck
