Thyroid cancer - still waiting after MDT meeting

Hi

After having the right lobe of my thyroid taken out the biopsy showed I had a small spec of cancer in it. I was told they would take my case to a MDT meeting at the end of April and would hear beginning of May. (This was to determine if they would remove or monitor the other side). However, I am still waiting to hear anything. Has anyone else had this and had to wait? I'm beginning to feel a bit anxious with the wait now. 

Any stories/opinions would be much appreciated.

    That seems quick to have results (for Irish healthcare system anyway).

     

    After my op (October 2018) to remove left lobe and 1 cancerous nodule,  i had follow up apt in dec 2018 but only got full pathology results in January 2019. I was low risk and caught it early (<4cm) - no sign of invasion to surrounding tissue. Had follow up with endocrinology and blood tests done (thyroid function and calcium) in January and April 2019. Having scan done on remaining right lobe to make sure no new nodules/lesions. If that goes ok then just follow up with endocrinology apt and blood tests every 6 months or year depending on what they recommend. This was the Irish healthcare system though. Hope this has helped.
