Hiya Rileyroo, you in good shape after your 5 mile walk yesterday? x
Got sore feet, chucked my trainers out and did a quick pedicure when I got home but not too achy today. Definitely better than I was after the 15 miler we did in March!
How about you?
I'm dead proud of myself today! Lined up a lovely A Level student to help me with groceries and stuff once the onslaught begins, and ( reason for delay in posting) fingers crossed someone to help me with radiotherapy stage. Also thinking about how I will give back when it's all over.
Every one seems to react differently to Radiotherapy. Some sail through with virtually no side effects at all, some could write a book on it, most are probably in between.
I did a lot of cooking in advance to I didn’t have to make as many meals later. I also prepped my skin by increasing the amount of moisturising I did before and during treatment. At least skin wise there are no outward signs I’ve had radiotherapy.
This is good advice Rileyroo, thank you. But I'm a newbie and *** scared, so not sure I'm going to cope - which is why I'm on here .... cancer messes with your head!
Cancer messes with everything! Just do what you need to get thro. Break it down into little bits and deal with that and only that if you can.
Bit by bit! Hey, my moggie has just decided to cuddle up to me and I'm getting purr-therapy :)
Stay in touch Rileyroo, two way street, I'm here for you (and others on here) too.
My nutty dog had a snuggle session earlier. He’s a big, daft lump who still thinks he’s a little pup despite being nearly seven .
What's his name? My cats are called Toots and Beeps.
