I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis. That is really *** news. How have you been handling this? Are your kids able to visit you during this time? I remember when my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, and my sister lived on the other side of the country at the time, she came to visit a few months later. I hope you have support during this time. 

Feel free to come on here at any time whenever you need to talk or vent. I've met some very supportive people on here, and I hope you will too. 

Hopefully there is some treatment that will be available for you. Must have been a huge shock to hear the news.

Yes 2 of my children r still living at home my daughter and grandson are not that far away (5hour trip) and she comes to visit us regularly my grandson has just started school we were only saying a little while ago that it will be hard as she can only come during school holidays but we call n text every day,  n I do have a close circle of friends n work colleagues who have been very supportive, looking at things that way I suppose I'm quite lucky  but I know that people become uncomfortable once you start losing your hair n looking very fragile once chemotherapy kicks in, I suppose  I'm just feeling sorry 4 myself at the moment n things will become better once treatment starts I really don't know what to think at the moment it's all still very raw ..

I'm glad that you have a lot of supportive people around you right now. Sometimes talking to those closest to us can be the best medicine. I know news like this takes a lot of time to adjust to for both you and the people around you. Hopefully you can get some information about your treatment and get some kind of game plan going. I know this must all still be very daunting, but if you ever need to chat always feel free to come back on the forum.

I truly hope that whatever happens that you have the people you care about the most around you. I'm glad you're not going through this alone. Please try to keep us updated if you want to do that. I know I'm not going through it myself, but I can offer a perspective from seeing my parent go through cancer and the feelings related to that. Hope that your next steps will lead to some clarity.
