Hi,
We have recently found out that my dad (age 73) has prostate cancer. He had a PSA of 700+ and had been having bone pain for months so they said it was already advanced and spread to the bones (clinical diagnosis) and started him on hormone therapy (just the tablets and injection is this week) whilst they conduct the bone scan, biopsy etc to grade.
since finding out he seems to have declined a lot. I’m not sure if this is the hormone therapy or the cancer itself? He is so tired to the point that he does nothing all day but sleep, he looks so gaunt, is struggling to eat and is just weary. Would hormone therapy cause this?
We don’t find out the Gleason score for another week or two and I’m just desperate for answers. Realistically, is it looking v bad?
