So sorry your mum's going through this at the moment ... this is the scariest part , the waiting .. and yes it can be normal to get pain from the lump... I think it's when we keep feeling it, as we tend to do that at first, and can make it sore ... though every lump is different ... some painless.. some sore ...

But she can mention it at her next appointment,  to put her mind at rest ... and there's lots of us breast lasses on here... all with boxing gloves on... so tell your mum she's not alone, there's lots of us in this boxing ring ... and wer all punching right back at it ..

Hi Sarah,

My tumour is painful to touch and I get a shooting pain in it occasionally. This was worse after the core biopsy but settled down again.
