Sorry to meet you here but a big hello and welcome. 

I was diagnosed the same day as you. Stage 2 invasive ductal carcinoma with metastatic spread to lymph nodes.  Yes, so many with cancer but so many living life with it.  I looked in the mirror and asked myself if I was going to be around next week? next month? next year? of course I am!  Years to come? - yes, probably!  So my feeling is cancer will NOT rob me of a single day by worrying.  My thinking about has definitely changed for the better.  I live in the NOW, the present moment, no matter what I’m doing.  

I had my lumpectomy and axillary node clearance on 3rd April.  No problem at all!!  Armpit very sore but better when drain out.  Do wear soft, larger size sports bra to bed.  Most importantly do your breast exercises.

Well, I’m doing the ‘two week wait’ for follow up to see how many nodes diseased. Then, Chemo (I’ll need support from other wonderful fellow members to help me to face the unknown there) followed by Radiotherapy and Tamoxifen as mine was ER +.
