    Hi BigJean,

A very warm welcome to our forum, although I'm sorry for the reason you've joined. I hope that your results on Tuesday can help to put your mind at rest. Even if the news is not so good, it helps to know what the next moves are and puts a more positive slant on things.

I suspect that the pain in your back is consequential to your diagnosis. We always seem to think the worst and develop all sorts of additional symptoms. In most cases this seems to be due to stress.

I have lost my mum to breast cancer and, have had 2 bouts myself within the past 9 years. Waiting for results is always one of the most stressful times of a cancer journey. Try to keep yourself distracted by other pursuits and do your best to stay away from Google. The fact that you are healthy and have never smoked, should stand you in good stead with any treatment needed.

Do please keep in touch and let us know how you get on on Tuesday. We are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

  • Hi Jolamine ,

thank you for your kind words . I’m so sorry you lost your mum and you going through it twice . I am not going to let it get me down just back from a big walk with my family and I feel great . That’s the weird thing I don’t feel sick at all .

I’ll let you know how I get on on Tuesday but I am ready to fight

    talk soon xx

    Hi BigJean,

Like you, I hope that this is nothing to worry about, but you are best to let the doctors know of any changes as soon as possible

Will be keeping my fingers crossed for you on Friday.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

just tagging [@babs50]‍ into the thread. Hope everyone is ok.

I looked into Microblading for eyebrows but they won’t do it due to risk of infection so I have a consultation for henna brows to see if that’s any good.

Cycle two tomorrow, and my second reiki session today.

    wish me luck.

    Hi Woolylamb,

Please let us know how you find the henna brows.
I hope that all goes well for cycle 2 tomorrow.

    Kind regards,

  • Hi swiperbaby

glad you are recovering well from your mastectomy. My movement is quite good but still can’t raise my arm over my head but still doing the exercises given. My upper arm is still numb but more so underneath. Having to shave my armpit in a mirror as can’t feel what I’m doing. Have been told feeling might not come back but it’s not really an issue until I have to shave.

Due to start chemo 5 July . Had tooth out Thursday and now got infection so on strong antibiotics to try and get rid before chemo starts.

Hopefully you won’t need any further treatment Hun x take care

    Hi Swiperbaby,

I’m sure that you are happy to get your mastectomy behind you and, glad that it all went well. Are you due to get your pathology results at the end of this week too? I hope that it is all good news.

Enjoy your reprieve for the next month or so and, make the most of this time with your children.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

    Hi MeJules,

I am glad to hear that you have had your teeth attended to, but am sorry that you now have an infection. It should heal up in plenty of time for you to start chemo.

I hope that it all goes well.

Will be thinking of you on 5th July.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

  • [@Jolamine]‍ [@Woollylamb]‍ [@BigJean]‍ hi all hope all is well. Just a little update. Was blue lighted into hospital yesterday morning had a few fits/fainted. They thought it was sepsis and then cancer on the brain. Luckily CT scan back ok and had mri this morning. Just waiting for results but they hoping it was just a severe reaction to the antibiotics for my tooth. Hopefully chemo can still go ahead on 5th x

    take care all

  • My goodness [@mejules]‍ that must have been scary. I’m so glad you’re ok, hope the MRI scan is ok as well.

All ok here 2 days after my second cycle and all seems fine, same side effects as last time so far, I have injections for the next five days and they made me tired last time and a bit achy so i’m waiting for that to kick in.

Let me know how you get on. X
