mine was 7.6cm but I had ‘c’ cup breasts so could have a lumpectomies.

Well I'm not sure I was ever told the size of my breast lump ... but it was a grade 3 and l had a total right breast masectomy in 2017 ... the op itself wasn't half as bad as I'd thought ... only needed a couple of paracetamol... which considering the size was amazing ... but lots of others have said the same ..

If you have lymph nodes taken, it is quite tender there for a while ... well there's lots of us breast lasses on here .. and I'm sure if there's anything you need to know, someone will have the answer ..

I thought I'd be really down when I first looked at my scar .. but to be honest, it didn't bother me at all .. it was a small price to pay to still be here .. well hope it goes o.k for you ... always here if you want a chat ..

Mine was a mixture of DCIS and invasive, perhaps if it was all invasive I would need a mastectomy? I should also add that I was offered either reduction/reconstruction or mastectomies, it was I who asked for lumpectomy. Thankfully surgeon agreed to do it.
