I am reaching out to anybody at all who is familiar with this type of case.
My mum, was diagnosed with Throat Ca, t2 n3, February 2019. Chemo was scheduled but cancelled 5 times due to her being neutropenic ( all her blood counts were rock bottom).
it was only last week she was admitted via A&E due to a near collapse and generally unwell they kept her in, 4 days later after checking her bloods, they decided she needed a bone marrow biopsy.
Yesterday my mum was diagnosed with Acute Myloid Leukaemia.
She has two seperate cancers, this is not a spread of the throat ca. the haemotlogist has confirmed the cancers are not connected at all and this is a severe case of BAD LUCK!
The hospital has never come across a case like this.
I am desperate for somebody who may be able to shed some knowledge on a rare case like this.
thank you in advance!!!!!
