Hi my best friend is due to start chemo + herceptin soon for advanced gastric cancer (linitis plastica). Does anyone know what we can expect in terms of side effects? Or any experience of this type of cancer? She's been told it's inoperable and palliative so we dont know how long she's got - but have read that hereceptin can extend survival time by about 3 months. She had emergency surgery due to severe stomach pain which is when they found the cancer + it had pushed a hole through her stomach. Any info would be appreciated as we dont know much about what to expect. She's in her late 40's
