Diagnoses day.

Today I was given my diagnoses I have stage 1 NSC squamous cell carcinoma T2b N0 M0. Don’t no what to feel I’m in a way relieved to finally no. Also that my prognosis is good as lung cancers they normally don’t catch until it’s to late. So a bit of a journey ahead with surgery and the possibility of chemotherapy I will beat this.

    I’ve been diagnosed today too, but with thyroid cancer. I feel relieved too! It’s like been such a wait! X

    it’s strange I tell people I’m relieved. But they don’t understand that not knowing and waiting is harder. Are you aware of your treatment program yet?  Mine is Lobectomy with a possibly of a course of chemotherapy if it’s is close to any lymph glands. My PET showed that it wasn’t in lymphatic system yet and only local to the lung so as cancers goes a good possibility of curing it. My prays are with you. Xx I’m here if you need to chat xx

    Yes, friends and family have commented ‘it’s not sunk yet’ but I think it has. The waiting was by far the worst. I’m not sure of the treatment quite yet. They’re discussing me next week and I see them the week after. I’ve already had part pf my thyroid removed- so it may be that the other half needs taking out and then radiotherapy. Glad that yours is local too!
