Yesterday I received confirmation that I have pseudomyxoma peritonei. I am being referred to hospital. I have been trying to find out more on what to expect as some websites are a lot more scary than others. To be honest the hospital website seemed the worse with its endless list of things to be removed. I can see it's going to be a long and difficult road ahead! Just how many organs can one person live without! The gallbladder went years ago and the appendix 2 weeks ago so that's 2 down. I still feel very positive about the future. I don't really know what I want to ask as I haven't seen anyone yet to know what type of pmp I have and what's been affected. I suppose one question is does hot chemotherapy cause hair loss? I've read accounts of people's experience of chemotherapy but not sure if the type of chemotherapy used in this procedure give the same side effects although I know the effects differ from person to person.
