  • Hi. I know I'm a bit late with the reply.. but how did it go for your husband? My mum has gone in today for a full glossectomy. But that's only if the tumor hasn't got bigger. With this surgery she only has 5 years tops anyway but I'm worried it's just going to knock her confidence and ruin the rest of her life basically. Thanks

  • Hi sorry for late reply

    hopevyour both doing well

my husband had a full glossectomy in December 2018, it's been a manic year but things are starting to settle down, his speech is doing really well but he hasn't managed his swallowing as it keeps going into his lung, looks like he's gonna be peg fed but he's managing and even put weight on

hope your husband is doing as well

    take care

    cathy xx

and 6 weeks radio and chemo so it has been really punishing for him. Just starting to work on physio etc

He uses RIG for food.and does not have any speech, but it's early days and I am just glad he's still here.

Hope your husband counties to do well. Best wishes
