I am so sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with this at such a young age. I do not know an awful lot about cervical cancer. I have had 2 bouts of breast cancer in the past 9 years.

I hope that your MRI goes well on Thursday. You are unlikely to be given the result straight away. There is usually a wait of 1-2 weeks to get your results. Try not to worry too much at present - I know that this is almost impossible not to, but it won't help anything.

It is perfectly normal for your emotions to be all over the place at this stage. There are so many unknowns. It is also par for the course to cry a lot. Don't worry if you are doing this, as crying can be a good stress reliever.

You will usually feel better once you start some treatment and start to fight your cancer.

I am sorry to hear you are going through this. As far as I know it takes a couple of days for the test results to be analyzed. I had stage 2A cervical cancer, just passed the 6 year mark in November. I know this is scary but I want you to know you can get through this! Please let me know what you find out and if you have any wuestions I might be able to answer. I’ll be thinking of you.

so so sorry to hear this, I was diagnosed with cervical cancer 2 years ago when I was 22 so I understand how anxious your feeling! 

From my my experience you won’t get the results of the mri straight away it will need to be looked at by your specialists to confirm what is going on. I had a follow up appointment a week after with my consultant to discuss what stage I had and what treatment plan they would put in place!

just hard time of year getting diagnosed and feel I can’t really talk to people as they don’t know what am going through and I find this forum so helpful xx
