Dads cancer

I am 17 and last summer my dad was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer and secondary liver cancer. After his first scan we were told the cancer had shrunk but today we were told that the results from the second scan have showed that the chemo has stopped working and it has grown and spread more in the liver. We were never told how long he has...i don’t really know if I want to know but is there a chance it could be a long time as he is away to go into a more aggressive chemo in the new year. Any advice is welcome, please help

  • I'm sorry that your dad's chemo has stopped working Sarah although I'm glad he is able to try a different type of chemo in the new year.

Only his medical team will be able to give you a rough idea of how long he may have so if you do change your mind then maybe you could see if he is willing to find this out for you. If he's not comfortable with knowing maybe you could see if he is happy for you to have a chat about this with his medical team in private.

I know this is hard decision to make but our members are here to support you every step of the way.

    Kind regards,
