I am sorry to hear this. Waiting for results is very hard. I had an appointment booked 10 days after my scans but I got so nervous 2 days before that I went to the GP for advice and she already had the results and could tell me. 

It would be better to wait for the hospital to be in touch though as then you will know what the next stage is.

Breast cancer these days is not a death sentence particularly in older women so try not to worry too much.

i am sure they will be in touch soon but it may be after Christmas.

Hi Lisa, sorry to hear about your poor mum. I really hope you get to know quickly. My mam has swollen lymph node under her arm which the biopsy has confirmed is cancer. They think that it's coming from the lungs but she needed the ct scan to confirm, so now we are just in limbo again. I also know my mam is being very brave to our faces but is struggling when we are not there. It's all so much to take isn't it. I can't bare the thought of my mam being ill nor can I bare the thought of her being scared. 

Do you think once we/you get a plan it will be easy to focus?

CT scan my mum said you have to drink liquid then you get like a dripninto arm/hand and a warm feeling goes through you it feels like you wee yourself but you haven't.

We thought once we get all the details and treatments then we would be better but we are still in limbo as they have no said wait until after Christmas for the bone biopsy even though the radiology team think it's bone cancer.

I suppose once you get all the answers it's easier, as you know exactly what's going on. Hopefully your mum's is not lung and they made a mistake well that's what I keep telling myself :(

I literally bought my mum everything she will need for a mastectomy and now it's secondary I don't think they let you remove the tumour. 

I found out yesterday and still in complete shock, I don't know what to do what to say, how to tell me little boy.

Thanks Lisa, my children also have a very special relationship with my Mam. I have decided to be as honest as I can be with them but after Christmas. My mam wants us to say nothing but I don't want them to hear from someone else. 

Please let me know how your mam gets on. I'll have all fingers and toes crossed for you x

Same boat as me I'm waiting until after Christmas but I have spoken with his school who said they will have a counsellor at hand if he needs it. He's only 8.

Can you keep me informed about your mum too, would be lovely to hear from you in the future.

My daughter is 8 too and my son is 10. I will speak with the school also. Hopefully by the time they go back, we may know more.
