Very scared and anxious..!!

Dear lovely people,

I have had my diagnosis of grade2/3 oestrogen receptor negative, HER2 positive invasive ductal carcinoma of left breast. I got called in and had my operation for my mastectomy and sentinel node biopsy on Tuesday.

Now have the wait for the results. The waiting seems the worst. Have been really positive, but suffering with anxiety at the moment.

Just wondered if anyone had the same diagnosis and what their treatment plan had been please..

Many thanks

Miss Moo

  • Hi ya ...

Mine was a grade 3 her 2 neg oestrogen positive ... and I had a masectomy July last year ...  so I remember how scary the wait is ... but treatments have come a long way now ...

There's a lovely thread on here called @The good and bad .... it was started by one of our breast cancer lasses ... she's had lots join her thread over the months ... they are a wonderful bunch ... and if you read those threads, you'll see lots of journeys on there ... they make everyone welcome, and talk about lots not just cancer ..

So hold on ... all of us breast lasses are still here ... when we stick together l think we can kick cancers butt. .  I know we here stories of those we loose, but there's a lot holding on ... it's like a scary rollercoaster ride ... but hold on, if you look round, wer all on that same ride with you ...

  • Hi Chrissie,

Thank you for taking the time to reply.

I will look at the thread...

I had a really good night's sleep last night and feeling less anxious today. I am lucky to have so much love and support around me and feel really blessed and lucky.

It's so good to have the support from the lovely people on this forum who are going through the rollercoaster ride.

Sending love and hugs to all.
