Onofocus test

Hi Was diagnosed with grade2 breast cancer on 28th September after an ultrasound and biopsy . I was told I would need operation , chemo and radiotherapy. I had the op a lumpectomy and removal of the centinal node that was clear thankfully, on the 23rd October . The operation did not worry me and although obviously a bit sore all is good. It is the thought of the chemo that scares me. I get the results of the op in about 10 days. Yet another wait!!! Has anyone had the onofocus test that seems to specify cancer drugs for certain types of cancer rather than having full chemo. Trying to get my head around this whole new world and the unknown ahead.

  • Hi there ...

Your not alone on here ... there's lots of us breast lasses on here .... I had a grade 3 and mastectomy last July. . And I was lucky mine was sent to the U S A for tests and come back low risk ... and lymph nodes were clear too .. because of bone problems I didn't do radiotherapy.. just tamoxifen tablets for the foreseeable ... but I do take turmeric and black pepper every day in food .. and so far doing well ..

All us breast lasses had different prognosis ... different treatments ... hopefully some will pop by soon .. I think @jbains said she had chemo ... but you know we are all holding our own and all just trying to kick cancers butt ... if you look on the thread " good and bad" it was started by [@Sandra123]‍  it covers lots of different journeys  ... the good ... the bad ... and everything in between ... everyone is welcome there .. it's not just about cancer, they chat about all sorts .. but so much support ..

So hold on in there .. results are so much better now ... Chrissie
