Grade 3 stage 3 serous endometrial cancer

Hi there. I'm new to this and have just been diagnosed with grade 3 stage 3 serous endometrial cancer. I'm awaiting definitive pathology results from recent total hysterectomy. Just searching for any survivors of this type and stage out there.

Love to all.

  • [@Sundial]‍  has been through something very similar in the last few months. I’ve tagged her so hopefully she’ll be along shortly.

  • Hi, saw that rileyroo had tagged me and thought I’d come along and say hello.

i was diagnosed with stage 1 grade 1 endometrial cancer in April this year. After my hysterectomy cancer was upgraded from 1 to 3 but still stage 1 which was a bit of a shock. Had another op where 92 pelvic lymph nodes were removed in July. Histology came back negative for cancer so  then just had three sessions of brachytherapy to reduce risk if return, the last of which was on October 2.

Have you been offered any further treatment or is that to be discussed after histology results? I have sent a friend request to you if you would like to ask any more question through private message or ask away on this thread whichever you would prefer.

    Take care

    Hi Arlo,

welcome to this very surportive website but sorry you’ve been dx with endometrial stage 3 grade 3

I was dx with endometrial stage 3 grade 1after radical hysterectomy in Feb. and 26 rounds of radiation.

My gynecologist seems to think cancer gone but only time will tell.

Ive had multipule side effects. Please feel free to ask any specific questions. I could be very long winded about journey but I’d like to help you with yours.

Try to stay busy and then stay positive.

Love & strength to all the cancer warriors

  • Thanks so much for your prompt response Rosesforever. I'm delighted with your good news.

I will try to take your advice about staying positive though i think I'm still in shock at the moment.

    Getting op. histology results tomorrow

All the very best to you.

Thanks for your quick response Sundial.

I will be getting the full works as far as I have been told. Have hust had the hysterectomy op to date. No lymph node resection as yet but possibly at a later date. Am expecting the histology results from the op to come through tomorrow so I will hopefully get more information about chemo dates then. I'm just under 3 weeks post op so I expect I will have to wait another couple of weeks to allow time for healing before I can start rest of treatment. .Just hoping the Staging doesn't get upgraded as 3/3 serous is more than enough to be getting on with!

I had intensive chemo back in 2004 for high grade NHL which was successful and am hoping that this time round, the response will be equally as effective and doable.

You must be glad to have finished treatment. Fantastic results.

Thanks for your friend request, I didn't spot it but will go find it now and get back to you.

    All the best

    Arlo

  • Hi there,

I am 67 and was diagnosed with endometrial stage 3c papillary serous cancer in July 2015. I had a radical hysterectomy, 21 lymph nodes removed, a microscopic trace in one. I had chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Now nearly six years on and I am fine. Stay strong, get all the info you need. Ask the doctors what you want to know and have it explained if you don't understand and use your specialist nurses for advice, that's what they are there for. They are all friends of mine now. I am very blessed. you are not a statistic, (the statistics are bleak) , you are you. I have made my peace with the cancer now after a long psychological struggle. The physical one was not too bad at all. Do it your way and do not listen to anyone else telling you how you should be feeling. You are not the cancer. You are you. Much love from Scotlandxxx

  • Hello DEC

Hooe you are safe abs well.  I was really happy to read your post

my mum has a recurrence of endometrial cancer following a hysterectomy about 3 years ago when she was given the all clear

its returned in her para ortic lymph lymph nodes and pelvic lymph nodes

if you don't mind me asking .. did you have the nasties in your lymph nodes? If so, did the chemo wipe them out?

im trying to stay positive but I go into panic mode when I read the bleak prognosis...

look forward to hearing from you

lots of love xx ️ ️
