Radiotherapy - what to expect

Hi I'm new to this. I had my op 2 weeks ago and go back to see my consultant next week. I've had two weeks off work as had a lumpectomy and part reconstruction so sporting a scar under my boob to my armpit. Small price to pay if it works is my outlook! Can anyone tell me if you are able to drive during radiotherapy treatment as I don't want to take more time off then necessary.

    We have a lot of breast cancer ladies posting on the forum so hopefully a few of them will see your post and share their experiences with you soon but whilst you wait I'm just going to include some information we have on our website about radiotherapy for breast cancer.

    Hopefully it will help you prepare for what is to come but do make sure you ask your medical team about when you may be able to drive again as they are in the best position to answer this question.

    I hope your appointment with your consultant goes well next week and wish you all the best for the start of your radiotherapy treatment.
