  • Hi Magspink, Welcome to the chat, I,m from Los Angeles, California and I too was diagnosed with IDC .i had a lumpectomy and didn,t need chemo. I'm hoping That your results come back quick, do you have an approximate date? I know the wait can be overwhelming, but have faith that everything will be on the positive side. What about your other breast, what the oncologist said?

Remember that breast cancer is nowadays one of the most curable types of cancer Find a support group near your area Those ladies have been thru it already and are a great source of information and support. I found one and its been great because they have been through it already and they show you that this is not the end,

    Hi Magspink,

I am sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis. I hope that your Onco typeDX test goes well and that you don't need chemo. It's not good news to find a lump in your other breast, but I suppose that it's probably better to treat them both at once.

It is a particular worry when you have children and receive a cancer diagnosis. Of every 10 women referred to the breast clinic only 1 will turn out to have cancer. I am sincerely hoping that yu are 1 of the 9 lucky ones.

Please stay in touch and let us know how you fare on Monday. We are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

  • Hi Magspink. I too have stage 2 breast cancer. Had lumpectomy and node removed then 6 weeks radiation treatment and tamoxifen. I won't lie - it has been tough but you'll get through. Do what makes you happy and comfortable. We all react differently to each stage of this journey.

It is difficult on everyone around you but they'll find their own way to cope. This forum has been a godsend to me and loads of support on the good and bad days.

Keep us posted and remember ask me anything and I will try to answer. Take it easy and keep going. You got This!
