Hi, my mum has just been diagnosed with liver cancer which was picked up on blood tests. She lives in Canada (but from Scotland), and she has to call tomorrow to arrange a scan.

she has been a heavy drinker, and although I'm trying to remain optimistic... I'm scared being so far away...  her only symptom seems to be tiredness... she has had some issues with her gullet but tablets and scans seemed to show nothing of concern. 

Her mother and sister both had breast cancer and brother died of cancer as well.

i don't know what to do:(
