N H Lymphoma elderly father..

My 86yr old lovely Pops has been diagnosed with N H skin Lymphoma in his legs. He has been.offered chemo, a milder form due to his age and other medical factors. But he is worried, as we all are, about coping with side effects at his age and whether he should go ahead with it at all as he wants to feel as he does  now...He asks us what we think..but its his decision and part of me feels like his quality of life is so important...I guess I wondered if anyone knew how chemo can impact on much older patients....We want him to be okay...but have been told its aggressive and can move quickly..He's currently on thexwaiting list for treatment..but can say no at any point..Thank you in advance

  • Hello Daisy

Sorry to read about your Pops.

I made the decision to refuse treatment for my bladder cancer.

I do not feel guilty at the end of the day it will be me going through the treatment not anyone else.

I agree quality of life has to be taken into account.

    Best wishes & a big hug x
