Psa levels

Hi my dad was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer in the spine his levels are at 3000 can anyone explain what this means and outcome we are left at the unknown stage as full prognosis aint been explained fully to us yet we were just told this after a mri scan and biopsy but no detailed info as of yet

  • Sorry to read about your dad.

I have no medical training but lost my hubby to this cancer his levels were very high to start with when diagnosed.Tests showed it had spread to his ribs.So I am thinking spread to your dads spine?.

I do hope you get some good news when you finally get details.

    Hugs & best wishes

  • Hi yes it has spread to my dads spine but thats all i no at the minute and im so sorry to hear about ur hubby theres a lot of conflicting information online about it so dont no wat to expect xx

  • Try not to google I have found it doesnt help me with my bladder cancer.

My hubby passed 17 yrs ago things have changed since then I would think.

He was having injections in his tummy brought his psa level down a lot.

All I can say is try & stay strong talk to him if he wants to talk.

Write down all the questions you or dad need to ask when you go for results.

Best of luck & big hug to both you & dad x
