Advanced Liver Cancer Question.

Hi,

Today my mum was diagnosed with liver cancer with unknown primary. The oncologist said the liver had too much cancer for chemotherapy to be effective and gave her weeks to live. A big shock obviously, but I'm also now at the stage of thinking 'is this all they can do?'. As a family today we have cried and hugged and cried some more, we understand this is the hand that fate has dealt but I also feel that I must ask if there is anything else we can look into while we still have time.

I'm sure I'll post more here in the coming weeks.

Martin.

  • Hello Martin,

Your description of your family crying, hugging and crying some more was very sad and you do seem very united as a family. I am so sorry to hear that chemotherapy is not an option for your mum and that she only has weeks to live.
