Complex Hyperplasia with Atypia

Hello everyone

I have just join to the forum today. My age is 51 and has a  25 year old son.Three weeks ago I had a hysteroscopy and polypectomy. Unfortunately the histology has demonstrated complex Hyperplasia with Atypia. There was no evidence of any malignancy although I had been explained that there is a 30% chance of developing endometrial cancer which has not been detected on the recent biopsy. I have been suggested to undergoes a laparoscopically assisted vaginal hysterectomy and bilateral salpingite-oophorectomy and peritoneal washing.

If anyone has gone through what my Gynaecologist have suggested me please do give me some advice.

  • Hello,

I've just got a diagnosis of complex endometrial hyperplasia with atypia. They have also discovered some precancerous and suspicious cells - so need to have another biopsy.

Pretty scared at the moment as it's likely that i'll have to have a hysterectomy.

Hoping that this has not turned into cancer. But understand the it's really treatable.

I’ve was diagnosed with complex hyperplasia with Aytipia two weeks ago and I have to have a hysterectomy. Must admit I am a little bit worried but I know it’s what I need because my sister had womb cancer and my aunty did too and also lunch syndrome. Hopefully you will get some answers soon x
