Hi,my partner was diagnosed with bowel cancer 9 weeks ago,and we have since be told that it has spread throughout his liver and it’s gone into lumpth nodes

He is having a bag fitted this week,but have been told they will not operate and will give chemo,surly if the chemo shrinks the cancer then there maybe a chance of an operation,I really don’t know what to think as we have been given a mixture of different answers.
