Anastrazole

Hi

I am 50 I had bilateral lumpectomy and lymph node sampling for grade 2 breast cancer and end of May. I have started anastrazole and am waiting for radiotherapy.

I am struggling with the fatigue and nausea. Anyone else ??

Do the symptoms subside...

Thankyou

  • Hi Sasp,in 2013 I had same as you and was prescribed the same,I found after a few weeks I decided to stop these tablets as too many side effects and thought I was going through enough any way, but that was my personal choice but I did have the radiotherapy, not much help I know but just wanted to respond to you, best wishes Chris

  • Thankyou for responding . Will give it more time I think and see if it settles down. It's hard to know what to do for the best when I didn't feel ill before and the meds make you feel worse than the cancer !!

  • Hi sasp

I’m on Letrozole and its a bit of joint pain I get with my meds. Tbh it’s not bad enough to stop the meds but know what u mean when u say u felt fine before diagnosis.

I had a review 6 mths after starting my meds with consultant to check on any side effects. I think they wait to see if any side effects have settled down.... they sometimes do.

It’s early days since your op and some of your symptoms could b linked to that.

You might want to have a look at the thread the good nd the bad. A number of breast cancer ladies on there we support each other nd there to to give advice if we can. We also sometimes just shoot the breeze about the good in our lives  and occasionally the down right ridiculous :-) drop by have a read through join in and give advice of your experience too if you feel you would like to.

sending hugs and.... it’s never too early to start slapping that moisturiser on ya boobs in prep for your radiotherapy.

    take care x
