Metastatic Melanoma in the Pleura space

So my journey started with a mole back in october 2017 removal and test reported melanoma 1b so had a WLE and 2 lymph nodes removed March this year several weeks later a clear diagnoses that no cancer cells were in the lymph Yay.

we were so pleased so then just 3 month checks then 4 weeks ago now i was admitted to hospital with Pleural Effusion 2 biopsys of this fluid 900mls was done and eventally last wed we were told i had Metastatic melanoma the doctors are completly stunned as my lymphs were clear and so they are unable to tell us how this happen.

they are doing a MDT meeting to disscuss the treatment plan but me and my family are so scared.

ive had alot of health issue over my 44yr life with rare bone disorders Maffucci syndrome, brain tumours etc but this has completey flawed us all does anyone have any experience of this condition and could shead some light?

    Welcome to the forum although I'm sorry to read of the news that brings you here. 

    It sounds as if this has come as a bolt of the blue and it's understandable that you feel scared about the future. Hopefully the MDT is scheduled quickly and you'll have answers to some of your questions.
