I am 34 years old, I have my colonoscopy today and I was told by the GI That I have a tumor between my sigmoid colon and rectum that is cancer. He took a piece to be sent for biopsy. He ordered an MRI of my abdomen, lab tests, referred me to surgeon and advised me to tell my siblings to get a colonoscopy. I have 2 family members on my mother side that past away from colon cancer. My grandma of 72 years and my aunt of 49 years old. I start my symptoms around november of 2017. I start with rectal bleeding and constipation. I went to my primary care and she diagnose me with hemorrhoids and gave me suppositories. Few days after using the suppositories I start with explosive diarrhea and greasy stools. I thought it was the suppositories. Later fromthat i start having episodes of fecal incontinence, flatulence, foul odor diarrhea and distended abdomen after eating. I went back to my doctor and she order some stool test that came back negative. At that time I was already having a symptom of not emptying my bowels and all the others together. I have a gastric bypass on september 2014 and she thought that It was malabsorption but still referred me to the GI. Last tuesday I saw him and on the digital exam he felt a mass. He order some labs CBC, ferritin, liver panel and WBC which all came back normal except that i have anemia. It is possible that only by seeing the tumor or mass at the colonoscopy test it can be seeing that is actually malignant cancer. I dont want to alarm myself without the biopsy results but this GI make it sound that it is cancer, he even look at me in a pitty way. I just want to be told that I have hope and he just misdiagnosed me. Please anyone who. An share their experience or knowledge
